Margi Vanderhye needs to follow the law.

I saw an item on the McLean Patch recently entitled “Will she or won’t she?” It was a blurb about Margi Vanderhye, wondering whether or not she is running again for Delegate.
After reading it, I decided to do the obvious. I checked VPAP and see how much money she’s been raising. That should usually give one a good idea as to if she’s in or not.
Yet, here’s the problem.
Whether or not Vanderhye is running, one thing she hasn’t done is file a campaign finance report as required when you have an open campaign account. If there is money in the account you are required to file or close down the committee. Vanderhye has now missed two cycles. Her last report was in December 2009.
My question is not is she running, but will she comply with the law?

As of November 26, 2009, Vanerhy had $62,252.72. If she had spent that money smartly, she could have won that race. Vanderhye messed big time!
Looking on the State Board of Elections Website, I don’t see any filing for 2010.
She’s a Democrat, she doesn’t have to comply with the law when it’s too inconvenient.
