   Attended FCPS Budget Forum today. The announced candidate must build broad community support in addressing the challenges confronting our community. We need an advocate who will stand for Fairfax County and our people.

    Too bad no one can beat Bulova. Herrity has the best chance, anyone else, zero chance. We’ll be lucky to break 35% against Bulova. Herrity might could break 45%. Why waste our money on this race? she’s only got one vote on the board. Spread the money around to races where we might could win. Chairman is always a loser for us.

    I wrote an article sometime ago right after the congressional elections arguing the same thing that oldtimer gop states. honestly, the argument can be posed for a challenge as well as not a challenge. it really just depends on the candidate that decides to run. i dont think throwing out any potential challenger is a wise course of action nor is it wise just to run someone for no other reason than running. the person that runs has to WANT to be chairman, not just serve as a sacrificial lamb.

    and bulova does have weakpoints. no one knows who the hell she is. route 1 is crap. gerry connolly wont be on the ballot in local races for the first time in decades. there are other things as well.

    and btw, ‘oldtmer gop’….perhaps negative comments against a candidate that doesnt even exist yet should come from someone who actually lives in fairfax county and not loudoun. don’t you guys have your own races to worry about??

    Heck yeh, we got problems in Loudoun but we ain’t gonna run someone just ’cause they want to run. Why waste the money. enough said. it’s your nickel.
