Jamie Radtke needs to do a fact check!
on March 13th, 2012 at 10:27 AMCheck out this video of Jamie Radtke turning in her petition signatures to get on the ballot for Senate primary.
If you watch the video, you notice that she says,
“This is the first step to restoring a constitutional republic. This is the first step to restoring our civil liberties. This is the first step to ending all of the political cronyism and the 40,00 earmarks. This is the first step to ending the insane spending in Washington, D.C.”
Yet – earmarks are already partially banned. House Republicans adopted a ban on earmarks in the 112th Congress, and Senate Republicans have already passed a voluntary ban on earmarks in their caucus. So unless she’s a Senate Democrat, she shouldn’t be passing earmarks anyways.
This is why politics should only be left to the pros. Go George Allen!

Shall we haul out the George Allen legacy of earmarks under a Bush administration that felt comfortable steering us toward insolvency expanding the debt-funded welfare state? I supported him for governor and senator, his campaign against Jim Webb was as undisciplined as his spending habits.
If I were supporting Allen in this primary, I would not be discussing earmarks.
