Well, he went out there and did what he had to do: defend Obama across the board. No suprises there.
I just want to hit on two things real quick:
First, I find it amusing that Clinton believes that America should reelect President Obama in order to avoid “go[ing] back to the same old policies that got us into trouble in the first place:… To get rid of those pesky financial regulations..” Well, President Clinton, you might want to look in the mirror on that one. You see, Clinton signed the bill deregulating derivatives. He is the one that removed the financial regulations on derivatives in the first place, then he criticizes Republicans for not undoing his mistake?
Second, I am VERY amused that Clinton got one thing right: not once did he call Obama a leader, praise his leadership, or imply he had leadership. I guess you can’t speak for 45 min without at least accidentally getting something right.
