“I coulda had class. I coulda been a contender. I coulda been somebody, instead of a bum, which is what I am.” –Marlon Brando, On The Waterfront
“I had planned on running for president and although it would have been a very difficult primary, I think I could have won. I don’t know, maybe not. But I thought I could have won… I was the best qualified.” –Joe Biden, real life
The first quote is from the famous film On The Waterfront. The second quote is from the lesser known former vice president Joe Biden (quote from The Hill). I’d rather watch the movie, even though and I didn’t really like it.
Anyways, Biden is having regrets. It would’ve been tough to beat Hillary Clinton for the nomination. The Democratic Party really went all out for Hillary. They had to have their national Party chair resign for rigging things for Hillary, Donna Brazile got fired from CNN for leaking info to Hillary, there’s a video of ballot box stuffing in Chicago, and don’t forget the tie breakers in the Iowa Caucus. The game was rigged for Hillary from the start. Biden would’ve had a tough road, especially if he had got in late.
Who knows what a Biden candidacy would have brought. Probably just a few hilarious soundbites and a less spectacular defeat than what Hillary endured. Either candidate would’ve had to cancel fireworks on the night of the election. I suppose the only difference is Biden would’ve been seen on election night. There wouldn’t have been a need for a John Podesta to take to the podium to tell Democrats their anointed one would not see them at that late hour. Rockin’ Joe would’ve still been up partyin’, win or lose.
We wish Joe Biden the best. Enjoy retirement, which is a perfect way to catch up on old movies. Better off skipping On The Waterfront. We recommend The Bridge On The River Kwai.
Researchers can’t find a Supreme Court nominee who wasn’t endorsed by a Hall of Fame quarterback, so in that spirit John Elway endorsed Judge Neil Gorsuch for the Supreme Court in a letter to the Senate Judiciary Committee. And he did so on official Broncos stationary. There is nothing strange about this at all. Here’s the letter…
With the left losing their mind over Russia, today’s Throwback Thursday takes us to when President Barack Obama told Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, “This is my last election. After my election I have more flexibility.” Sounds like a real strong leader spreading American strength worldwide. Thanks a lot, Obama.
Pictured below is Richard. Don’t be like him. If you see the presidential aide who carries “the football” then do not take a selfie with him and identify him by name. It will do our country no good and could only invite potential harm. Maybe, and I mean super maybe, take the selfie, then shelf it for the duration of the administration and then post after a new individual has taken over the position. Again, maybe. The best scenario is to shake the aide’s hand, thank him for his service, and don’t selfishly insert yourself into our country’s National Security! You flipping idiot!
The picture below says it all. It didn’t matter who Trump announced as his nominee for the Supreme Court. The signs were ready. Oppose anyone.
It would have been funny if someone in their crowd had told people to write a name other than Neil Gorsuch, like Judy Sheindlin for example. To the Democrats out there seriously consider this; if you were in the crowd ready to oppose the Trump pick and someone told to quickly write Sheindlin on your poster you would do it. You would not stop to think if that’s Judge Judy or not (hint, it is).

Yesterday’s violent riot at the University of California at Berkeley is just the latest example of the intolerance of the radical left. They destroyed things, beat a man until he was unconscious, and pepper sprayed a college girl while she was talking to a reporter. Really, that happened. And yet somehow those uneducated criminals believed that they were protesting. Protesting what? So to honor their failed attempt at civic engagement, for this Throwback Thursday (#TBT) we would like to offer a reminder of the senseless destruction perpetrated by the TEA Party after both of Barack Obama’s presidential wins.
Below is an accurate photo of the TEA Party burning the country to the ground.
Snowflakes fell in DC on Friday. They came out to riot against President Donald Trump. Not protest, just riot and yell things. They weren’t protesting a policy, or a new law, or an executive order. They were in town to destroy the city because they find the new president to be destructive. Try to figure that out. Their intolerance and fearmongering were on full display. It was a truly repugnant display put on mostly by kids who need safe spaces when things don’t go their way.
Some of the snowflakes used hammers to smash things, like Starbucks for example. And what a more perfect example of a Donald Trump-like thing to destroy than a trendy new-age style coffeehouse that donated to Hillary Clinton’s campaign. Obviously their smashy smashy was well thought out.
Some were claiming to oppose fascism. But, of course, they failed to connect anything about a Trump administration to anything remotely resembling fascism. These snowflakes are just kids and yet they present themselves as such uncompromising know-it-alls. There is nothing fascist about the hour old Trump administration at all. It is very disappointing to see these kids behave in such an intolerant way. To them, identity politics is the only realm for diversity, while diversity of opinion is forbidden and all opposition needs to be labeled as hateful. That is no way to conduct appropriate political discourse.
I hope these kids will grow up and understand this. Right now, they really are delicate little snowflakes. They need to understand that that is not a good thing. No snowflake has ever endured a change of seasons, and these kids are proving the metaphor fits them perfectly. Their current state can only be described as a meltdown.
Pictured above could be Cecile Richard’s limo, or maybe it was Ashley Judd’s or Madonna’s. We don’t know, and neither do the kids who burned it on Inauguration Day.
Unbelievable. For those of you unfamiliar with the author of the below tweet, he lives in Maryland where he is the basis for the character Tommy Carcetti from HBO’s The Wire. Since losing the presidential election he has lost his mind. And this is from the political party that describes itself as the most tolerant while their conservative counterparts are [fill in the blank, I can’t keep up with the name calling].
There is a special election Tuesday, January 10, to fill the open state senate seat in the 22nd District. There is only one Republican in the race, Mark Peake, and it’s important that he wins.
Hanging in the balance is majority control of the State Senate. With Peake holding the seat, Republicans maintain a one-seat majority. Without him, it would be all tied up with Democratic Lt. Governor ready to break ties for his party. So it is really Peake or bust.
There is talk of a spoiler in the race. Some guy is trying to run to the right of Peake. He did not help in the 2016 elections in his district and did not participate in the nomination process for this seat. Peake won the nomination and there is too much at stake to entertain feelings of what shade of Republican we have here. A vote for Peake is a vote for the Republican majority.
So if you like Senator Dick Black and think he can better serve our commonwealth in the majority then you need to reach out to the Peake campaign and help with their phone calls from home campaign. You can sign-up here to help out. It is not too late, the campaign will be making Get-Out-The-Vote calls on Tuesday until the polls close. This is an important election. Support Mark Peake for State Senate.
Former one-term congressman Tom Pierrello plans to seek the Democratic nomination for governor this year against Lt. Governor Ralph Northam. Pierrello’s entry into the race is a surprise as the Democrats wanted a cleared field for their anointed ones. The Ds don’t like contests so this really throws a wrench in the works.
Pierrello is an odd shade of a Democrat. He is a close political ally to President Barack Obama, but has been endorsed in the past by the NRA. He is more attractive to the hard-partisan radical leftist sect of the Democratic Party than Northam is, and yet will have to reconcile not being with the Democratic Party’s dogma on gun control, which makes up a large part of one issue voters over on the left.
Whichever shade you color him, Pierrello is really just a one-hit wonder who in 2008 swept in on the populist whims of anti-George W. Bush attitudes. In office, Pierrello voted with Obama often enough that the president came out to Charlottesville in 2010 for Pierrello’s re-election. This was a mistake evident by Pierrello’s loss that November, but more to the point asking Obama to campaign with you in Virginia’s 5th Congressional District exposes the disconnect the radical left has with America. What poll in 2010 showed attaching yourself to Obama would be beneficial to a candidate in Virginia’s 5th? The left likes to tell voters what is best for them, not listen to and then represent their people’s interests. Pierrello’s one-term in office is a good example of how the principle of “We the people” is exercised in our republic.
This late addition to the race must be upsetting to the Democratic Party establishment, who has already gone to the trouble of selecting the nominees for their voters. Northam is supposed to be unopposed for the gubernatorial nomination, just like the races for Lt. Governor and Attorney General. The decision has been made. How can this happen?
Now Democratic primary voters will actually have to make a, oh no, choice. We certainly can understand how the party of hierarchy is upset with this disturbance in their prearranged completion of democracy.
Out-going and soon to be forgotten Senator Harry Reid said that FBI Director James “Comey helped Trump significantly.”
Rep. Adam Schiff said the Russians were “sowing discord and at this they were spectacularly successful.”
And the crazies are just calling every Trump voter a racist, or sexist, or some other name.
Maybe Republicans shouldn’t be so openly trying to convince Democrats that it actually was Hillary Clinton who played the biggest factor her in loss. There is a concern that all the crying about the FBI, Russia, and name calling are delegitimizing the democratic process, which is a real concern. But I may be okay with this futile attempt from sore losers because it allows the Democrats to stay in their little bubbles, where people want to be called “special snowflakes,” gender is fluid and decided by an individual’s own snowflake feeling for that time, minimum wage jobs are career positions where upward movement is not necessary or desired, and, of course, trophies are given for participation. The majority of America does not agree with the radical leftist policies of the establishment players of the Democrat Party (Clinton failed to capture a majority of the vote but please use the selection of majority to flip your lid).
The letter that Comey sent explaining that new information was found which may be relevant to the investigation of Clinton’s mishandling of classified information probably didn’t hurt her half as bad as how quickly Obama’s justice department was able to turn around a few days later and issue an official statement saying the new info didn’t have anything incriminating in it. The whole scenario made it fair to suggest that the nothing-to-see-here outcome, which came just as fast as Clinton needed it to, was both a predictable and suspicious wrap-up to an issue that plagued Clinton all year long. Being above the law is not a desirable trait for a candidate and the Clinton team, right before the election, had to remind everyone that their boss was untouchable.
Schiff’s point on influence from Russia is especially troubling because he fails to refute the authenticity of the information found in the Democrat Party email hack. So what Schiff is saying is that the integrity of the election was compromised because Russia helped to release accurate information showing that the Democrats had no integrity and were actively breaking rules throughout the process. That is a problem because the Democrats really don’t have the integrity to hold power but when caught they don’t have to take any responsibility at all. Just blame Russia will be the new escape plan for Democrats to avoid having some serious examinations of their own ethics, or lack thereof.
The liberals lost because Hillary Clinton had zero accomplishments to run on and her, let’s call it leadership, on sending all the snowflakes to the same bathroom is a baffling thing to champion. She deserved to lose. She really was that bad of a candidate. But maybe we are better off not explaining this to the Ds so that they can continue to lose and Republicans can build majorities right before another round of re-districting begins.
So to any Democrats who have managed to make it out of bed this afternoon; yeah, Russia, and um, uh, meanness won, so here, have a flower, you are a special snowflake and your feelings matter. This is going to be a fun time in politics.
Time magazine has selected president-elect Donald Trump for their annual Person of the Year cover issue. This is a good choice because he won. That’s pretty simple logic but it is much more complex when you dive into things.
For now, let’s appreciate that Trump won the nomination when few said he would. Then he won the November election when few said he would. The media was against him and working behind the scenes with his opponent Hillary Clinton. He was out fund-raised and outspent by large margins. And there was a degree of inevitability to the election of Clinton, who had been running for president, really for the last sixteen years, but definitely for the last eight years. All of this set the stage for fireworks at Clinton’s victory party. But those fireworks were canceled.
Of course Time magazine can’t be too congratulatory. On the cover they identify Trump as the “President Of The Divided States of America.” Fair in that he lost the popular vote, but the popular vote doesn’t declare the winner. A more appropriate text for the cover would read “Another Populist Wins The White House.” Eight years ago Barack Obama swept in on populist whims, promising the same thing that Trump promised. From Obama’s 2008 acceptance speech on winning the Democrat’s nomination; “The fundamentals we use to measure economic strength are whether we are living up to that fundamental promise that has made this country great – a promise that is the only reason I am standing here tonight.” This cycle the message was the same but it was packaged a little differently, this time in the form of hats that read “Make America Great Again.”
When populism won eight years ago Time selected the populist who won when they named Barack Obama Person of the Year for 2008. They chose the winning populist again this year (keep in mind Time recently reported one of the Jenners “totally carb-loaded”). Populism won again and Time has accurately captured that phenomenon
The Democrats are losing their minds right now. They just don’t understand how their brand of government and market socialism was rejected. They also just don’t understand how their intellectual bullying is both faulty and repugnant. So the special little snowflakes are taking to violence in the streets. It is absolutely disgusting. This needs to stop. Hillary Clinton lost for several big reasons and a ton of small ones. Those reasons will be dissected by everyone including writers at this blog for years to come. The bottom-line is simple: Donald Trump won, fair and square.
And the leaders of the Democratic Party need to step up to stop this violence and disrespect. Today, a photo of Mr. and Mrs. Obama with Mr. and Mrs. Trump was canceled by the Obamas. It is fair to speculate that Michelle Obama led the way on this decision. That is absolutely classless. A move like that is something a leader wouldn’t do and is part of the reason why liberals think it is okay to resort to violence to express their sad feelings.
The irony of it all is that crazy liberals are saying worse things about American voters than Trump ever said about anyone. But liberals describe themselves as more tolerant than their conservative counterparts. Give me a break.
To the little snowflakes too distraught to function and to anyone who is ashamed to be an American (some of my friends are actually telling me they are “ashamed to be American”) I suggest you call your US Senator and speak strongly about the “advise and consent” part of selecting a Supreme Court nominee because with Republicans controlling the White House, the Senate, and the House, you are not going to like what one-party rule can do with the backing of a majority on the Supreme Court.
Keep crying snowflakes, it is going to get a little worse for you.
Embedded below is the latest video from Project Veritas Action. How can Democrats be okay with this? What happened to democracy in this country? If Hillary Clinton is a legitimate candidate with real credentials and real accomplishments to run on, then why all the gamesmanship? Why can’t the Democrats run Clinton’s campaign on strength? Why the need to resort to these sleazy tactics?

The real Hillary Clinton campaign is an ugly place. How can Democrats be ok with this? How can they actually come out and cast a vote in support of these actions? As unbelievable as it is disappointing, too many Democrats will just brush this off. This video is a must watch.
A federal judge today issued an order for Virginia to re-open voter registration until 11:59pm Friday October 21. This was issued as a result of online registration crashing last Monday night, the deadline. The governor’s office promoted the online registration and has done a thorough job of recruiting new Democrats to vote. The Democrats must have missed their registration goals so in an effort to stuff the ballot boxes for Hillary the registration deadline has been extended. Anything for Hillary, I suppose.
House Republican leadership released a statement today saying “We obviously accept the court’s order to extend the deadline but the entire episode was unfortunate, predictable, and avoidable.” Their statement also said, “Governor McAuliffe should consider a leadership change at the Department after the November elections and the General Assembly should order a review by the Joint Legislative Audit and Review Commission when we convene in January.”
First the governor tries to stuff the ballot boxes by turning all felons into voters in one broad stroke, now this.
Full statement by the House Republican leadership can be read here.
Project Veritas Action, led by James O’Keefe, has done it again. This is amazing footage. Could be too real for most dye-in-the-wool liberals, but they need to see this. How can anyone justify this behavior? This should matter to voters. Take a look at the two embedded videos below and please share this with your Democrat friends.
