With the left losing their mind over Russia, today’s Throwback Thursday takes us to when President Barack Obama told Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, “This is my last election. After my election I have more flexibility.” Sounds like a real strong leader spreading American strength worldwide. Thanks a lot, Obama.
On Donald Trump’s first day as president he signed an Executive Order halting any further implementation of the Affordable Care Act and setting up its repeal. This was something Trump campaigned on and it was something his supporters expected to see from him.
On Barack Obama’s first day as president he signed an Executive Order closing the military prison at Guantanamo Bay. This was something Obama campaigned on and it was something his supporters expected to see from him.
The difference between the two orders is one is about helping the economy and the other was just symbolic bull. But there could be another yuuuuuge difference here…
Obama failed at closing the military prison at Guantanamo Bay, it’s still open eight years later. Trump has a bar set pretty low to beat. Or will the Affordable Care Act be to Trump what Guantanamo Bay still is to Obama?
The Democrats are losing their minds right now. They just don’t understand how their brand of government and market socialism was rejected. They also just don’t understand how their intellectual bullying is both faulty and repugnant. So the special little snowflakes are taking to violence in the streets. It is absolutely disgusting. This needs to stop. Hillary Clinton lost for several big reasons and a ton of small ones. Those reasons will be dissected by everyone including writers at this blog for years to come. The bottom-line is simple: Donald Trump won, fair and square.
And the leaders of the Democratic Party need to step up to stop this violence and disrespect. Today, a photo of Mr. and Mrs. Obama with Mr. and Mrs. Trump was canceled by the Obamas. It is fair to speculate that Michelle Obama led the way on this decision. That is absolutely classless. A move like that is something a leader wouldn’t do and is part of the reason why liberals think it is okay to resort to violence to express their sad feelings.
The irony of it all is that crazy liberals are saying worse things about American voters than Trump ever said about anyone. But liberals describe themselves as more tolerant than their conservative counterparts. Give me a break.
To the little snowflakes too distraught to function and to anyone who is ashamed to be an American (some of my friends are actually telling me they are “ashamed to be American”) I suggest you call your US Senator and speak strongly about the “advise and consent” part of selecting a Supreme Court nominee because with Republicans controlling the White House, the Senate, and the House, you are not going to like what one-party rule can do with the backing of a majority on the Supreme Court.
Keep crying snowflakes, it is going to get a little worse for you.
Throwback Thursday takes us to when this photo op wasn’t canceled due to one side being a sore loser. The streak ended today when the Obamas canceled this photo op with the Trumps. The Obamas are like school on Saturday; no class.
A man walks into a bank. He approaches the teller with his pay check and says,
“Hello. I would like to cash this.”
The teller says, “Ok sir, I just need to see some ID.”
This surprises the man who then says, “But my name is Barack Obama. I’m the president.”
“Well sir, I’m sorry but the rules are the rules and they apply to everyone the same. We need to see some ID.”
“But I don’t have any ID with me today.”
“Then we can’t help you.”
“But I was really hoping to get this check cashed today. Surely something like this has happened before. What did you guys do then?”
“You know what, this did happen last week. A guy came in without ID claiming to be Michael Jordan. So we went outside to the basketball court at the park, where he showed us some moves and made some shots, so we figured it had to be Michael Jordan. Sir, is there anything you can do to prove you are who you say you are?” asked the teller.
So the man sat there and thought for a minute. And then sat there and thought for a few more before saying with a look of bewilderment, “I don’t know. I can’t think of anything. I have no idea how to solve this. I can’t think of anything to do. I have no solution to this problem whatsoever.”
And that is when the teller said, “Ok President Obama how would you like your cash?”
You didnt build that. Somebody else made that happen. President Barack Obama July 16, 2012
Today marks the anniversary of one of President Obama’s most ridiculous speeches ever.
Taken out of context you say? Well I remember Charles Krauthammer at the time pointing out that describing the context makes it worse for the president. The context of the presidents statement is that governments gifts, handouts, and dependence on someone else are the essential components of society. Ask Obama if intelligence matters. No, there are a lot of smart people. How about hard work? No, let me tell you something, there are a whole bunch of hard working people out there.
A real glimpse into President Obamas socialism message is found here; If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help. The key word there is gave. Self-reliance, independence, entrepreneurship, innovation, creativity, drive, courage to take risks, are all irrelevant in President Obamas view of how the socialist state bestows its wealth amongst its subjects.
When it happened I thought it was the gaffe that would push Mitt Romney over the top. What an insult to small business owners who are fighting to get the governments burdensome regulations off their backs. What an insult to hard working Americans. What an insult to the vision the Founders had for this country. But you didnt build that was not enough for the masses to understand who they were really voting for, and that is a president who truly wants to fundamentally change everything about the United States.
So remember, you didnt build whatever it is that you built. The president said so.
Too much going on right now so Im just going to post the below quote without commentary. Here is President Barack Obamas take on democracy in America, delivered in Cuba.
Stop and consider this fact about the American campaign thats taking place right now. You have two Cuban-Americans in the Republican Party running against the legacy of a black man who is president while arguing that they are the best person to beat the Democratic nominee who will either be a woman or a Democratic socialist. Who would have believed that back in 1959? Thats a measure of our progress as a democracy.
Ok, a little commentary; the word currently being used to describe Obamas trip to Cuba is historic, but it will eventually be replaced with mistake. What an embarrassment.
Photographic evidence of just how stupid President Barack Obama is has surfaced (picture below and linked here). Obama and Che in Cuba. What an inspiring picture for freedom fighters everywhere.
And while there Obama said our country can “hopefully” learn from Cuba on how to improve our human rights. Unreal. To be fair, he said this during the Q&A, he wouldn’t have read that out loud from a speech. You see, Obama’s communication skills begin and end with his ability to read prepared remarks out loud. When he needs to think on his own is when he drops ridiculous gaffes that ignore history and embarrass our country.
Clearly, Obama is not bright. Remember all the hits on President George W. Bush’s intelligence? Fair or unfair they were persistent, but our current fool always escapes from being called out as an idiot. There are too many examples to list. Yesterday’s pic and quote are just the latest. Obama has to be the least intelligent, the least aware, and all around the worse president yet.
Throwback Thursday (TBT) takes us to this day eight years ago when the Democrats had a debate for their presidential nomination. On stage were Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and John Edwards with CNN’s Wolf Blitzer as the moderator. The debate involved several heated jabs by Obama and Clinton. Below are three noteworthy quotes from the night’s exchanges.
First came this one; “While I was working on those streets watching those folks see their jobs shift overseas, you were a corporate lawyer sitting on the board at Wal-Mart.” –Barack Obama to Hillary Clinton
Then came this one; “I was fighting against those ideas when you were practicing law and representing your contributor, Resco, in his slum landlord business in inner city Chicago.” –Hillary Clinton to Barack Obama
And then eventually this one; “Senator Edwards has been remarkably patient during this exchange. And I want him — I don’t know if you want to get involved in this, Senator Edwards.” –Wolf Blitzer to John Edwards
Some Democrats that night wanted voters to remember that Hillary Clinton was a lawyer for a big corporation (which would now mean that those 99%-occupy-whatever crowds must not be ready for Hillary). Other Democrats wanted voters to remember that Barack Obama has a past of associating with some shady characters. And John Edwards just wanted voters to remember that he was still in the race.
Eight years later and we see few things have changed from that night. Clinton is still running for president while trying to recast herself as a new political dish more palatable than last month’s version, Obama has had to continue to distance himself from past associates and people still don’t remember that Edwards even ran in 2008.
TransCanada, a Calgary based company, is suing the Obama Administration for the rejection of their application for a permit to allow the KeystoneXL pipeline to cross the American/Canadian border. Their lawsuit claims President Barack Obama overstepped his authority by taking action to deny the permit. Their suit also seeks the recovery of damages in the amount over $15 billion. The suit was filed in federal court in Texas yesterday under authority from the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).
TransCanada claims that when the president stepped in and swashed the KeystoneXL project he made an unconstitutional move that should be left to the Congress. The Constitution grants authority of the regulation of commerce to the Congress, not the president.
The biggest issue here should be the fact that it took 7 years for the decision on TransCanadas permit to be decided. That is ridiculous. That long of a wait should be seen as a clear violation of Due Process. The Obama Administration may have taken the strategy of just trying to wait out TransCanada knowing that every day they waited was another day the company was losing money. If that was Obamas plan then that is dirty pool. He deserves to be called out for it.
Obama really shot himself in the foot when he offered his explanation for the rejection. He told us he needed to worry about his image as a leader on climate change saying, Frankly, approving this project would have undercut that global leadership. Or in other words, if he had accepted it then it would make him look bad with the green lobby. TransCanada is correct in their description of the rejection when they said, misplaced symbolism was chosen over merit and science rhetoric won out over reason.
Obama had his head in the clouds on this one. Dont you just love to hear the liberal left cry about special interest groups? The green lobby controlled the president on this one and Obamas explanation proves it. It is tough to take Obamas words as anything other than a political job where symbolism was chosen over merit.
Yesterday President Barack Obama issued Executive Orders in an attempt to restrict 2nd Amendment rights. But this gun grab is weak. The only impressive thing about the Executive Orders is during the speech announcing his unconstitutional decrees, Obama somehow managed to refer to himself an astonishing 76 times. Even for a narcissist all-star like Obama that is an impressive amount of me, me, me. Obama must have just wanted the opportunity to get on TV again.
The White House issued a fact sheet on the orders, linked here.
Not long after the announcement Virginia Citizens Defense League (VCDL) blasted out an email analyzing Obama’s gun grab. VCDL writes, “Much of the Executive Orders (EOs) really don’t change anything, but try to put a menacing or intimidating spin on them. Others simply double-down on existing enforcement (yawn), some are bad, and one VCDL likes.” They go on to offer a 12 point breakdown of the EOs and describe most with, “Net effect: zero.” There are two that VCDL labels as “DANGEROUS” saying for both points that “it can strip people of their right to own a gun WITHOUT DUE PROCESS.” For the point on hiring new agents to conduct background checks, VCDL calls this is “positive because of quicker gun purchases.”
Lawless Obama, who holds the Constitution in contempt, did not go crazy here. Maybe Obama realizes that the 2nd Amendment is a Constitutional right specifically added to protect the people from being disarmed by a tyrannical government. Or maybe he understands the mobilized grassroots who support responsible gun ownership outnumber the radical left who believe that only their body guards should be able to carry. Or maybe he is just getting lazy. Whatever the case, if VCDL, an organization that takes pride in being accused of making the NRA “look moderate,” is not worried about Obama’s moves then neither am I.
